- Retirement age: A High Court judge holds office until the age of 62 years.
- Article 199: Deals with the jurisdiction of the High Court, including writ jurisdiction (mandamus, certiorari, habeas corpus, quo warranto, and prohibition).
- Adequate remedy rule: The constitutional (writ) jurisdiction of a High Court cannot be invoked where an adequate alternate remedy is already available under law.
