Appeals โ General Principles (Ss. 404โ406)
Chapter XXXI (Ss. 404โ431) deals with appeals.
- Section 404: "No appeal shall lie from any judgment or order of a Criminal Court except as provided by this Code or any other law for the time being in force."
- Section 406: A person ordered by a Magistrate under S. 118 to give security for good behaviour may appeal to the Court of Sessions.
- Section 406 (surety refusal): A person whose surety is refused under S. 122 may file an appeal.
- Section 406-A: A person aggrieved by an order refusing to accept/reject a surety under S. 122 may appeal to the Court of Session.
