Security for Keeping the Peace (Ss. 106โ108)
Chapter VIII (Ss. 106โ126-A) governs security for keeping the peace and for good behaviour.
- Section 106: Court may ask for security for keeping the peace on conviction.
- Section 107(1): Where a Magistrate is not empowered to proceed but believes a breach of peace cannot otherwise be prevented, he may, after recording his reasons, issue a warrant for the person's arrest.
- Section 107: Where there is likelihood of breach of peace, the Magistrate of the first class may ask security for keeping the peace.
- Section 108: A Magistrate of the first class may order security from a person disseminating seditious matter.
